Stonewell Construction · Shingle roof repair
Discuss missing, lifted, creased or damaged asphalt shingles with Stonewell. A focused repair should account for the surrounding shingles, attachment, underlayment and any exposed decking.
Step by step
Share a wide photo and the location of the missing or lifted shingles if visible safely from the ground.
Age, brittleness, existing fastening and product availability affect whether a local repair can tie into the surrounding roof.
Identify the replacement shingle, color limitations, underlayment repairs and the affected roof area.
If the deck is damaged, the proposal should say what wood replacement is included and how additional work is approved.
Repair boundaries
Replacing a damaged area requires working with the shingles around it. If those shingles are brittle or deteriorated, lifting them may expose a larger repair need. That condition should be explained before treating a small patch as a complete solution.
Missing shingles can leave underlayment or decking exposed. The scope should identify whether the work includes underlying water protection, fastening corrections, wood repairs and any nearby flashing. Covering the visible gap alone may leave the original cause unresolved.
Bring a product name, installation record or spare shingle if available. Review both product compatibility and the expected appearance of the patch. A different color or profile should be disclosed before installation, particularly on a prominent front slope.
Record when the damage was noticed and take photos from a safe place. An inspection should consider surrounding lifted or creased shingles as well as the pieces already missing. A repair proposal and any insurance coverage decision are separate matters.

An exact match cannot be assumed. Aging, discontinued products and different production batches can affect appearance. Review the available replacement material before approving visible work.
Not by itself. The surrounding roof condition, extent of damage and ability to make a sound connection determine whether repair is a practical option.
